This is truely remarkable!
Is it done on canvas and what size it is?
Thank you. It’s oil on canvas and the size is 110cm by 136cm.
Truely amazing work!
It appears you painted each one of those leaves seperately. I’ve never attempted this so just curious, what kind of brush you used? I’ve heard that to paint seperate leaves you should have a brush thats shaped like a leaf… don’t know what thats supposed to mean : )
How much time it took to finish this painting?
Hi. Thanks for the comments. The painting took about six weeks. I use nylon brushes, both angled and flat, sizes 2, 3 & 4. Sorry, but I’ve never heard of a leaf shaped brush. Shape is in the movement of your hand and wrist. Keep painting and experimenting.
I like this painting very much! The complexity and subtlety of this woodland scene has been handled with great skill and communicates so much of the rich experience of being in such a delightful and beautiful place.
Thank you very much for your comment. Much appreciated. You have a very expressive way with words.
